Hotel Monterosa
Where we stayed in Paris. Rooms are small but clean and modern, and the bathrooms are relatively spacious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Paris! The lobby is a great spot to hangout, there’s lots of complimentary munchies during the day, and Francois the hotel manager is absolutely charming!

My Apartment
Delayed putting these pictures up for awhile, but here it is! My place.

Terranium
My little weekend project which took about 20 minutes was making and installing a little terranium near my front door. It’s comprised of some glass stones, reindeer fern, and air plants, and all it requires is some light misting and a monthly soak for the air plants. It’s so cute, I love it!

Frog’s Leap Vineyard
This was my favorite place we visited in Napa. I love the table settings (oh my god, am I a 40 year old housewife?) and at least 3 out of the 4 wines we tasted. It was $20 for a flight of four, and they did give us a glass of rosé on the house and lots of cheese and nuts to snack on. I bought a bottle of their Chardonnay to take home!

Firefly Restaurant in Noe Valley
This is where Rob & I went for our dinner out after a week of staying in and cooking. New American cuisine with portions that were just the right size that we could justify ordering dessert. It’s also named after one of my favorite television shows, heh!

Alex’s Gold Rush Steakhouse @ The Madonna Inn
View from the lobby— I told you, it’s Disney’s fairytale princess crack house up in here.

The Apple Farm
The Apple Farm was the first hotel we stayed at in SLO. It’s hard to describe the place, it was more like an exaggerated bed & breakfast. The whole complex (yes, it’s got a complex) is styled like your dear English grandmother’s cottage— from the rooms to the lobby to the restaurant, bakery, gift shop, mill, and water wheel which all fall under the Apple Farm name. The rooms were actually really big, enough for a sizable lounge area with chairs, a sofa, and a coffee table in addition to the four poster bed. They gave us two $5 off coupons to use at the restaurant which we cashed in our first morning there. I had a bit of a delicious biscuit (not too much…) with some blackberry jam, spiced apple cider (made from cider harvested onsite), and eggs benedict “california” style (which apparently means throwing some avocado and an artichoke on it).

A Burst of Inspiration
Ran into this floral display earlier and fell a little bit in love. I think I’m turning into a forty-year old woman…

Just purchased these from Etsy to hang above my bed! I’m so excited to see my bedroom start to come together. It’s going to be a handy weekend.
