Strawberry French Toast
The past few weeks of funemployment have actually been pretty, well, fun. I remember when I started this blog I would snap pictures of my own homemade meals all the time. After transitioning over to startup life most of those food pictures were taken at restaurants. The past few weeks I’ve actually gotten to use my kitchen again and it’s been a lot of fun! Pictured above, today’s breakfast, Strawberry French Toast. I didn’t have any maple syrup so I used a little bit of honey for sweetness and because I didn’t have whipped cream substituted it with a tiny amount of whipped goat cheese, which actually turned out perfect. Goat cheese pairs so well with strawberries and lended a nice saltiness to balance out all the sweet.
